Day 34 - Lake Tahoe (July 30)

By Finny

Today is our last full day in Tahoe.  Bruce left this morning.  I miss him already!  I took my kids to breakfast and then dropped them off with my mom to ride the Heavenly Gondola.  They don't allow dogs!  Who ever heard or such a thing?!?  Apparently its over a 2-mile ride!

Risk of storms today so they went right to the gravity coaster.  They were first in line!

They rode the gondola around the mountain and took some great photos.  I wish I could have gone!

We all met for lunch at California Burger and one of my mom's former students and friends Alice and her friend met us.

After lunch we did some packing up and then went to the beach.  I didn't have any friends at the beach tonight, but I had a great time playing fetch!

A storm started rolling in over our house across the bay so we headed home.  I'm going to miss this beach!

Goodnight Tahoe!

Day 33 - Lake Tahoe (July 29)

 By Finny

We took a walk around the neighborhood.  I found the smallest lizard I had ever seen!

When we got back we found Gia reading.  She reads like a book a week!

Bruce and my mom and dad then went out for a mountain bike ride.  It was Bruce's first time I guess.  It sounded like he liked it.  I stayed home with my kids.

When they got back, my dad made me steak.  I shared it.  Lily made rose potatoes with bacon.  I just ate the bacon.

It got rainy in the evening so we chilled out with some Olympic watching and board games.

Day 32 - Lake Tahoe (July 28)

Beautiful morning!  Mom and I were up early.  So early, I had to take another nap, so I crawled in bed with Gigi.

We went out for breakfast and then took a little walk along the beach.

There was a little rainstorm this afternoon.  The sky looked so pretty, I decided to take a nap - on Gigi.

My mom's friend and former student Bruce arrived this afternoon.  We headed out to hike Mt. Tallec over by Emerald Bay.

We passed some bear doo-doo on the way.  Yuck.  I'm not afraid of bears.  My kids tell me all the time how tough I am.

It was a really beautiful hike!

I played tag with the kids.  I kept giving them a head start, but it was pretty easy.

We picked up some pinecones for Aunt Carolyn.  She liked this trail too and couldn't fit any in her luggage when she was here.

We had dinner at Aleworx.  Great music and a lot of fun dogs to play with.  I sure do like it here!
