We started Lily's birthday as we do all birthdays, with breakfast in bed and opening gifts. However one of the gifts she opened was tickets to New York City, leaving right after school :) She was pretty excited, to say the least!
We had a great little hotel in SoHo
We went to dinner at a cute little Italian restaurant, a formal embarrassing happy birthday was sung, and gave Lily her gift for day 2.

Unfortunately it was a rainy day for the photo shoot, but the photographer made the most of it and captured some beautiful photos!

Day 3 - Graffiti day! The gale force winds got in the way of the tour in the Bronx, but we still did the painting class.
Our last day we were planning on biking in Central Park, but it was a little chilly. So instead we walked the city, visited the 911 Memorial, and had lunch at the Chelsea Market before heading home.
