Kalim Beach, Thailand - Day 17 (July 23, 2019) - Patong Beach & Parasailing

Great run this morning!  After breakfast, the mommas and the oldest daughters walked into town for some coffee and a little shopping.

Me and my girl

Selling durian fruit.  So stinky it is outlawed in many public transport systems.

After a little relaxing poolside, and some card playing (Rummy 500) while we waited out a rain storm, we headed into town to do some parasailing.

The parasailing is crazy!  They start from the beach,  There is a tandem rider who holds onto the ropes, without being strapped in, to guide the sail.  Once up in the air, he swings his legs up on the ropes and rides along - again not strapped in, and guides the landing.  Amazing!

Lily and Gracw went tandem

*Corey's note: If you are looking at the guy in the background dangling from the parasail and asking yourself "Why would you let your kids do that??"... well then you'd be with me, saying "Hail Mary's" and praying the kids would be ok.  But if they were to fall, it would likely be in the ocean..at least that's what I was saying to myself.

Next up was Gia and Abby

And then Caden and Lily went together.  They all loved it!

And here are some videos ... before and after.

Walking through town, you pass hundreds of massage parlors.  Read this sign.
Makes me wonder about the others?!?

We took a tuk-tuk home and had a relaxing evening in.
