Chiang Mai to Bangkok - July 30 (day 24)

Love this shot of the whole group at our Chiang Mai house.  We will really miss it!

A few pics from the house. Oh the massages....

During breakfast, we found a tiny lizard in my bathtub.  After many failed attempts at lizard catching, we were thrilled to procure the smallest lizard ever -- for a couple of hours, until we let him go in the garden.

Decked out in elephants for travel

Even monks need to fly sometime.  Love that they were able to go to the front of the line!
Our fascination with the Spirit Houses continues.  Even the taxi drivers have them glued on their dashboards.

Our Bangkok hotel

My favorite Starbucks drink in Asia...unless it is launched in the US too?  We will find out next week!

Welcome drinks!

The view from the hotel

We headed right to the pool!

New favorite game - Shut the Box

The view from the pool looking up the Chao Phraya River

We headed out to the Asiatiques market and to dinner, a short walk from the hotel... so much to see along the way!

We went to a seafood restaurant, where most of the items on the menu were still swimming in the tanks outside until they were ordered.  Corey and I devoured the soft shell crab!

Friends since they were born!
 We stopped for ice cream...

And then we decided to hop in a tuk-tuk for the ride home.  We needed two (just Kidders and Angsts at this point) - and raced home.  Literally!  It was a blast - yet very, very frightening.  The Gia, Lily, Ben, Scott and Wendy tuk-tuk won.  I had to sit for a bit once home to collect myself!!!

Our competition...

Great first day in Bangkok!
