Hong Kong - Day 12

It is HOT!  Attempted a run at 7 AM and it was already 97 with a "feel like" of 103.  I made it just 2 miles, then headed in.  The highlight was being greeted by a doorman with a towel and a bottle of water.  I could get used to that :)

Corey found a breakfast place with avocado toast, so we set out to find it and then to visit the mornings before the day got any hotter.

We looked and we looked, and we asked, but could not find the avo restaurant, so we settled on a french cafe instead -- which was beyond amazing.  Corey and I shared the warm scones and raspberry jam.  Gia had caprese and blueberry muffin.  Lily a chocolate croissant.  Caden a pear tart.  Of course as we exited, we realized we were just a few doors up from the avo place :)

The markets are designated by full streets.  Our plan was to take a cab there - the cab has a number painted on the front with how many passengers they can take, so we found our 5-person cab - which equates to 4 of us smashed in the back row with 3 seat belts.

We checked out the flower markets, the fish markets, and briefly touched the women's market and electronic markets, and did a little shopping, before heading back.  Luckily the streets are lined with open shops that we could pop into frequently for a break from the heat.

Bubble Tea Break

Once home, we had to model our outfits and then spend the rest of the day at the pool!

We took a headed to a nearby wood fired pizza place for lunch just up the boardwalk...

Afterwards we huddled in the "girls room" and took a heat break and watched a movie (and worked on the blog)!  We were startled to see a man on the other side of our window on the 7th floor :)

We took a little stroll once the sun went down, admiring the cars out front.  We all found one to take home as a souvenir.  Too bad they won't fit in our backpacks!

We did a little night swimming and went to bed.  Here is the view from our window to the right and left looking across Victoria Harbour to HK Island.
