Early start today with a 9:30 AM reservation at the Leonardo Da Vinci museum. We had to eat breakfast like proper Italians with a quick croissant at a bar, although now with COVID, you don't actually stand at the bar but outside.
So fun to watch Lily take in all of the amazing art and science discoveries and accomplishments of Leonardo. They have been learning about him in school, so timing was great!
A wing of the science museum was dedicated to communication advancements. Lily commented that Grandpa Angst's mobile phone should be in here :)
3.50 Euro for olive oil. C'mon.
The promenade between Cattolica and the basilica.
So cute how dogs are pretty much leash-less here. We got a kick out of these two little wiener dogs running as fast as they could to catch up to their owner.
My gorgeous girl (one of them...)
Lily was awestruck by the Basilica, built in 379. So fun to see her enthusiasm.
We lit a candle for Lily, Caden & Gia and said a Hail Mary.
New lunch spot - a pasta laboratory. We had the ravioli with eggplant and a brie and hazelnut quiche. The pasta was one of, if not the best, I've ever had. Until tomorrow...
The chef came out with a big plate of pasta to deliver. You can faintly make out the chef hat.
Jasmine for me = Italy. Intoxicating.
I stopped to pick up sandwiches for Lily and I once I finished teaching at 7:30. Ham and brie with "pink sauce". Still not sure what it was?!?
The anime graffiti at the alley way entrance.
After "work" finished at 9 PM, we ventured our for gelato. We have a similar picture of Lily at one of these cute little trucks in Italy when she was 1.
This building holds my classrooms this year. Three different ones, but at least at the same address.
