After spending an hour trying to figure out how to make the stove work, we realized we needed a certain pan to make the burner stay on. So we put the coffee percolator in it and voila! Then I headed with Troy and Carolyn for hill runs. Incredible views, as you can see below.
An old church tucked into the hillside behind our house.
Our place...
After breakfast at the kitchen table, the kids headed with my phone to explore and take some photos.
30% chance of rain today, so we decided to head to Montepulciano. Surrounded by vineyards and full of wine tasting on every cobble stone street.
We parked on the hillside of town, overlooking the Church of Madonna di San Biagio. The church was built by the architect Antonio da Sangallo in 1518.
We had a 2:15 lunch reservation, so stopped off here for some, down in the cellar below the restaurant, for wine and antipasti while we waited.
Note: No brain cells of actual children were harmed in the filming of this entry.
BTW - Gia is the UNO champ in this photo!
Our lunch spot. We had to wait a bit more once we arrived.
There were some standard items on the menu, but we all ordered from the handwritten specials. Mine was handmade pici pasta with sausage and truffles. Many people ordered the steak, which was fun to watch it be prepared!
My pasta - I need to remember for my food porn posts to take photos BEFORE I am halfway done :)
The view looking at the entirety of the restaurant.
Strolling around the city after lunch.
