Tuscany - June 12

The tech corner...

We walked to a coffee shop this morning down our long drive.  Gorgeous morning!

Success!  Fragiole (strawberry croissant), still warm.  Life is good :)

After some swimming, we cleaned up and headed to Arezzo.  We were all craving burgers!  We went to Ristoburger.  At least the meat was 100% chianti beef, which honestly just sounds better!

Next stop was Arezzo.  We strolled around a bit, and shopped.  We came across Grandma Sandy's coffee shop - again - that she has yet to tell us about :)

And then it happened.  We found it.  I thought unicorn pool floaties were not real.  Sadly, I was wrong!  A unanimous name was chosen - Mr. Sparkle Pants, which translates in Italian to, "Mr. Sparkle Pants".  Catchy.

After this, we stopped for...gelato.  Of course.  I have a new favorite from Violetta, called "Violeta Crema".  Hazelnut with Nutella-like ribbons.  Wow.

After this we rushed home and breathed new life into MSP :), before taking him out for a test ride.

Mr. Sparkle Pants was not easily tamed.  But eventually, they were all able to 'saddle-up' together.

After dinner we experienced a beautiful rain shower as the sun continued to shine.

Once the rain stopped, Caden, Lily and m\I ventured out for walk... we headed up the hill behind our house to view the abandoned church, and stopped plenty along the way to examine bugs and flowers.  Then we hiked into the vineyards.

I am in love with these purple flowers.  They look like wisteria in bush form.

We happened across a pond with the loudest pond sounds I have ever experienced.  We captured some great video of the frogs and bugs getting deafeningly loud, the closer Caden got to them with his goal of  catching a frog.  Then we backed off, it got quiet.  I have never seen anything like it!

On our way back, we snapped this photo for water color paining inspiration.

 Our house in the distance.

Once back we did our night swim.  The photos include some cute little nakey American kid cheeks - that will not be shown to the public until their respective weddings.  Moo-ha-ha-ha!

We found some movies in English - and with the Internet down - settled into a Sandra Bullock movie for the night.
