Tuscany, Italy - Day 12, June 8

After breakfast half the group hiked up to the church at the top of the hill by our house, while the other half of the group (Corey and the girls) biked to town.  Caden and I made it back to the pool a couple of hours before Corey and the girls.  Sorry Corey!

Cool distance marker at the top!

Incredible view from a bizarrely giant bench.  We were at the top at the church bells rang for a full minute.

On the way down, sweet Caden picked a small bouquet of flowers for his grandma.

Pool time.  Corey and the girls are still at the town across the hills.

We swam and napped before heading to Troy and Carolyn's place for lunch.  Delicious burgers, pasta, and of course, more wine.

After enjoying the beautiful views and food at the guest house, we enjoyed our own patio for a bit, some more pool time, and even a little napping :) until chef Domanico arrived to prepare dinner and teach us how to make tagliatelle.

Enjoying one of the beautiful living room areas while dinner is being prepared.

Pasta making class

We enjoyed all 4 courses outside on the porch - and played a little 'mafia' in-between.  Traditional Tuscan soup (yum!), wild boar tagliatelle, sea bass with peas, and a chocolate mouse with a cookie and cherries.

Our chef enjoying the view.
