Florence & Milan - Day 7 - May 21

Today we had a tour of the Uffizi... Very cool how familiar Caden was with much of the art and artists!

Afterwards, to everyone's dismay, we had another walking tour. I began threatening students with more walking tours.  We then had a group lunch.  It was touristy.  Lesson learned.  Next year I will book this stuff on my own.

The tour guide, next to a few of our ND students who just might have stayed out a little too late the night before.  They nearly got ANOTHER walking tour added to the mix!

The evening activity was a pizza making class.  Our friends the Sullivans had just arrived in Florence for the summer, so Jim and the kids joined us.  So fun to see friends from home somewhere else :)

The alternate meal is the infamous Florentine steak. Mamma Mia!

This photo just makes me smile :)

We enjoyed an evening stroll along the Ponte Vecchio with some interesting music that was getting disrupted by a group of drunk men for what I think was a bachelor party?  The musician dealt with it with class and persevered.

Caden looks so grown up walking home chatting with Dennis.

Meanwhile, in Milan, Corey, Lily, Gianna and Grandma Sandy arrived - on Grandma Sandy's birthday!  we left behind flowers, chocolate cake, and new pillows for grandma.

This grew went out for pasta and gelato...

Looking forward to getting together tomorrow!
