We packed up shortly after and headed to meet Corey's former student Andrea. She gave us a tour of the school she works with, dedicated to student athletes, regardless of their economic background. All rooms offer a full virtual experience so that students do not miss out on lessons when away for sport. And all rooms, including the bathroom, are sport themed and have motivational messages.
Afterwards we were treated to lunch at her parents house. We stopped and bought flowers along the way at a roadside stand. Beautiful birds of paradise and some other pink flower. The three bunches must have weighed 4 pounds!
Lunch was definitely a trip highlight! Her mother and husband were so welcoming. Sadly we missed her dad on this visit. Lovely to chat and see the beautiful El Salvadorean culture in a family setting. So warm and loving! And the view from their home over the city was jaw dropping.
After lunch we headed back to the ocean. This time we are staying at a resort right on the beach - literally right on the beach. It feels like a surfer could end up at your table! We have two rooms just up the walk from one another. The kids enjoyed exploring the ride pools and playing in the waves. Not sure why, but the ocean feels so safe. Maybe because it is so warm and there are so many people, and there hasn't been a shark attack in at least 50 years (knock on wood).
My girl likes her mojitos!
This one devoured her book! Love this about Gigi :)
More games of Pysch and then early to bed.
