Happy New Year!

The crew slept late after the NYE karaoke 😁

Caden drove Corey and me down the beach to get breakfast out on the pier.

Mosquitos and sand flies are real here. Gia and I are the preferred meal of choice, but no one is immune. We apply bug spray multiple times a day.

We decided to head further north to Tranquility Bay where you can easily snorkel to the great barrier reef right from the shore. The road narrowed to one lane and cut though jungle along the beach. Before then, Gia drove for a bit, before opting to just look out the  "window" at the pretty scenery :)

We found a little spot on the beach under a palm tree to spend the afternoon snorkeling and beach walking.

The restaurant on the dock had fun games, but sadly had stopped serving lunch, so we stopped at a little BBQ spot on our way back where we could sit outside at a picnic table where we could have some drinks, eat our first burgers of the trip...and of course play UNO.

Fighting for first rights to the shower once home. We planned to head out for dinner to try Porofinos for pasta, but everyone fell asleep! Definitely a sign of a good vacation!
