The cuckoo bird kept us company with their cuckoo clock song throughout the night '_' Beautiful and disruptive all at once.
We headed into town first thing to the bakery recommended by the house owners. Sooooo good! Then we went to the grocery store to stock up on food.
Once back, Caden headed out on the property to pick some poppies for the house. They are my favorite - especially when harvested by this cutie :)
Lily made a beautiful charcuterie for lunch, and we spent the day playing poolside, snacking on Italian meats and cheeses, and drinking wine. As you can see from the photos below, the kids talked me into buying Mr. Sparkly Pant's cousin AND it was really windy. Not a great combination for the lifespan of a floaty! But the hours of entertainment made it all worth it.
The kids also picked up some paints in town and painted white canvas shoes they bought at a thrift shop in Milan. Such talented artists! They look just like the ones they were modeling
