Uganda - December 30

Started the day with a run with Quin.  Not much sleep with the girls still adjusting to the time zone and the weather so hot, but it felt good to get moving!  We had a busy day ahead!

Cool to see the plaque for the first time that we had made recognizing ND and the Pulido-Walker family.

We made a trip out to Innovation Acres to see the 20,000 trees that we planted this past year.

The trees are a variety of fruit trees and charcoal trees.

It never ceases to amaze me how hard Ugandan women work!

Once back we were treated to more performances by the Innovation Scholars.  Truly amazing at all they have managed to do - especially since the school just opened November 7!

Afterwards we enjoyed a photo shoot...

Other projects this day included setting up tables for the girls to select from gifts we all brought, including shoes and "The Shirt" from ND.  The kids also set up the library with books we collected form the US, taught bracelet making, and did nail painting.  It was all so fun!
