Mother and daughter
This just might be the best picture I've ever taken. The love between a mother and a daughter...and a very proud husband and daddy.

Lily has a beautiful birthday as well, because in the Netherlands (where I'm from), May 5th is more or less our equivalent of the 4th of July, where we celebrate the liberation of the Netherlands at the end of WW II. Over the last years, May 5th has grown into a more broader celebration of freedom from oppression, discrimination and intolerance, so it's a beautiful symbolic day.
