Florence to Milan - Day 4, June 7

Last day in Florence! Taking a train to Milan today. I began my day with my farewell run which was a run up the hill to the Piazza Michelangelo. Cannot beat this view!

The train to Milan took just under 90-minutes. We arrived at Centrale Station and hopped on a metro to Porto Navigli. I mistakenly dragged everyone off the metro a stop early so we had a 15-minute walk to our Airbnb v. a 2-minute walk. Could have been worse.

We dropped our bags then headed out to a lunch of tapas and a spritz at Signorvino followed by...yes, gelato. Life is good :)

We took the path of my favorite walk in Milan - down the Corso di Porta Ticinese, wrapping around to via Santa Marta, ending up amidst the shops by the Duomo. Walking this path with the cobblestone streets, old buildings, including one of the original arches to the city built in 1171, passing beautiful flats hewed in pinks, oranges and yellows with balconies full of flowers, and the smell of jasmine permeating every fiber of your being is nothing short of heavenly.

Corey and Gia headed back and Caden, Sophia, Lily and I wandered around the Duomo.

Once back, we did a quick turnaround for our "all you can eat sushi" at Toyoma 3. Sooooo good!

After dinner we walked along the canals and stopped for an aperitivo.

Our Airbnb was right next to the House of Blues - the ND student favorite. Sadly no karaoke this night, but a DJ that was supposed to start at 10, but was on hold until a soccer game ended. So we went to another restaurant nearby and then headed to some dancing at 11 PM. We had blast!
