Caden Turns 1!

What a day! Follow the picture series below for the sequence of birthday events...

1. The morning began with daddy, mommy and Lily putting on birthday hats, grabbing the video camera, and walking into Caden's room in song to sing him Happy Birthday!

2. He was not happy! He was quite upset. Upon closer look, and with cameras rolling, we noticed that our poor little birthday boy had thrown up in his crib!

3. We proceeded with festivities and headed down to celebrate with birthday donuts I brought back that morning after my run. This fancy little candle actually plays Happy Birthday!

4. After some chugs of milk, our birthday boy seems happier and digs in to his donut.

5. The birthday sister is happy as a clam with so many donuts at her disposal.

6. And he really digs in!

8. Next we moved on to Caden's big birthday present. He spots it and points excitedly...

9. A pool/ball pit! Whoohoo!
10. He loves it!

11. Then we headed to the park to enjoy a bit of the sunshine : )12. By 2pm, our birthday is really sick. He has a high fever and cannot be set down. Daddy steps in to nap - er, I mean help.

13. We cancel the birthday party scheduled for that night.

14. We attempt to celebrate on our own, but Caden is not happy.

15. The candles lit...and still a sick boy. It last a few days. Poor baby. No matter, we will celebrate at the upcoming Pink Party!

Lily's New Do

Neema gave Lily the cutest haircut! Lily just looked at herself in the mirror and grinned ear to ear! It really looks adorable on her!

Maddie's Birthday Party

Maddie hosted a super fun birthday party at a bouncy park. The cousins had a blast! I had a blast too! Lily and I must have slide the big slide a dozen times. Too fun! My wrist burn is finally starting to heel '_'

Mommy turns 36!

Happy birthday to me! I began the day with a birthday celebration with my running group with a yummy homemade cake shaped like a lamb! Lily loved it. Although she was convinced it was her birthday : )

At night we went to dinner at Ruth's Chris and afterwards I was treated with my favorite chocolate cake from the Chocolate Cafe - the foot tall chocolate tower where one $11 piece is predicted to feed 6. Ha!

Nonna and Ninny Visit

We finally celebrated Christmas with Nonno and Ninny on their March visit! Pretty sad that it took us that long, but we had a great visit!
Lily loves to cook, and loves to wear her tutu/princess gear - combine them together and you have the "cooking princess". Here she makes egg plant parm : )

It was fun watching her interact with my dad. She actually had him doing pricess twirls!

Caden is our little out door boy. He loves playing in the fountain!

Here Caden practices his walking...before taking a tumble. Of course as a responsible mother my first priority is to to laugh while snapping a photo, then I tend to the crying baby '_'
