First Ice Cream Cone

Although not intended, Lily had her first ice cream cone today. Mom's Heath Bar Crunch was too tempting. We did our best to keep the the Heath from her! She even held the cone herself. We are pretty certain that Lily has a new favorite food : ) [October 8, 2006]

Water Break!

Hiking makes us thirsty : ) Lily loves water bottles! [October 8, 2006]

Hiking the Pleasant Valley Nature Conservancy in the Berkshires

This hike took us up a mountain. A bit strenuous at times, especially with the pack we were carrying with an extra 15 pounds : ) In total the hike was 2.5 hours. The views were incredible and well worth it! Lily was awesome! We swear she was singing hiking songs. [October 8, 2006]

Our Little Punkin'

We had a great time exploring Western Mass. Especially since we were seeing it through the eyes of our 5-month old! Here she explores pumpkins for her first time.

Basking in the Light of the Fire

Lily experienced her first fire in Mystic. She enjoyed the fireplace as she unwound after a full day as a 5 month old, then crashed in her mom's lap. [October 5, 2006]

The Mystic Whirl Pool Tub

Lily loved the whirl pool tub in Mystic, CT at the Steamboat Inn...Quackers kept swimming in circles, making him harder to catch than usual : ) [October 5, 2006]

Sign us up for the CIA!

No not that one. The Cullinary Institute of America! We started the day with a trip to their bakery for some strong coffee and great freshly made pasteries (Lily had some banana in the car on the way). Was very cool. We enjoyed a walk around campus and great views of the Hudson River. [October 5, 2006].

Peek-a-Boo...We see you!

Lily was cracking us up this morning! She was hiding out in the blanket 'bunker', cracking up when she could get our attention. She is 5 months today...unfortunately Pooh didn't make the trip, so the growth comparison photo will have to be late. [October 5, 2006]

Flexibile Lily

We have taken to carrying Lily mid-Happy Baby yoga pose when we can't get her to let go of the Von-Tootsies. [October 4, 2006].

Sittin' Pretty

Lily started sitting up on her own this week, as pictured below. She eventually topples over, but is doing great! She is pictured here in the Hudson Valley...the start of our leaf peeping vacation : ) [October 4, 2006]

Sleeping Beauty

I rushed home from work, anxious to see lil' Lily, and she was already fast asleep in my bed! [October 3, 2006]
