Rome - June 11

 Happy heavenly birthday to Norm!

I began the day with a run. Beautiful blue skies offered a great backdrop for photos of beautiful architecture.

Making a note of this shoe shop...you never know when I might start tango dancing! But in all seriousness, they have to be comfortable!

I watched these guys for a bit. It looked like they had been up all night and sat down to take in the building, and finish their beers!

We spent some time this afternoon in the park, right down the street from our place, reading and eating gelato. We had so much enjoyment watching dogs and their owners. It was reassuring to see how many people talk to and attempt to reason with their pooches, and how communicative the dogs are with what they want to be doing! And we received endless entertainmet from the dogs that liked to swim in the fountains :)

This dog wasn't ready to go home.

This dog wanted to swim.

So he did!

And his buddy did too!

Our typical path walks right past the Pantheon.

The evening along the Tiber.
