Uganda Jan 2-5th, 2025

Some stages of the fruit drying process.  The ones that we kept round with their core in them turned out the best.  Everyone was a big fan!  Also, the stick on the upper right is sugar cane. The locals peel it with their teeth, but we used a knife.

Corey and Victoria enjoying a Nile with our good buddy Paul!

Here's most of the crew.  Some were feeling under the weather.

Happy Birthday to Derrick!

This is the nearly-done fruit dryer!  The entire thing was built from repurposed roofing and mosquito netting.  Our craftsmen do wonderful work! Our hope is to sell some of these locally.

We visited a pig farm and picked out 3 piglets to buy!  We will be moving these to a pen at the farm and raising them.  We named one of them 'ham'.

We also bought 2 goats! Names are to be determined.

The black goat thought he was being presented with an opportunity, if you get my meaning.  We didn't want to bring the white one to the farm pregnant so the activity was quickly curtailed.

Amazingly, the satellite TV at the St B. Restaurant provided us with access to the ND vs. UGA quarterfinal football game!  It was one of those ND Moments we won't forget!  ND 23 GA 10, January 2, 2025.

This was a very special moment for the Angst family, with Lily having recently been accepted at Notre Dame!  It is a dream come true!

Momma Molly and Momma Wendy made the long trek up Mt. Kalongo...and they barely look winded!

This is a really clever game that Wendy's students created.  It helps the St. Bakhita students better understand business concepts!
