More stitches!

Caden Rodney made his second trip to the ER for stitches.  This time he slid/fell off the kitchen counter and knocked a heavy wooden bar stool over onto his eye.  4 stitches and 1 hour later he was back at home climbing the ladder on the playset and playing in the sandbox '_'

Day at the farm

We spent the day at a local farm with the Ladies of Notre Dame group.  We were able to see bunnies, goats, cows, and even ride a pony!  We had a bonfire and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows too.  The kids were in heaven : )

Michigan Grandparent Weekend

We headed to Michigan for Lindsay's graduations from MSU and Mother's Day (and my and Corey's 13 year wedding anniversary!) and managed to fit in a visit with all 3 sets of grandparents!

We started with Grandpa Pfromm and Ninny in Lansing at the Children's Museum...we had a lot of fun playing with the bubbles, water, instruments, play kitchen and so much more! 

We somehow did not manage to capture a picture of our graduate, but we did manage to snap a photo of her cake.

Lily turns 4!

Our little Lily Bug turned 4 May 5th!  It was a beautiful day and we had a super fun day celebrating.  We started with a run to soccer practice, followed by a trip to the nail spa with Stacey and Elliott, then the entire Hall family joined us for dinner.

The Sheep Birthday

My wonderful running friend Nikki treated Lily to a beautiful sheep cake for her birthday.  Both kids were thrilled : )  Lily started with the head!

Celebrating Birthdays...

Grandma Sandy, Grandpa Dave, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Andrea came down for the weekend to celebrate birthdays.  We had a lot of fun (especially Andrea who started her visit playing Easter in the basement for an hour with Lily : )  Caden has taken to calling both Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Dave, "Gamma Sandy Dave".

Lily and  Caden each received a book and the cutest little rocking chairs.

And per Lily's special request, Uncle Jimmy made Lily a butterfly cake : )

The next day we gorged ourselves on brunch, then headed to Notre Dame to feed the ducks and enjoy the sunshine. We saw geese, ducks, swans, big turtles, and even a baby turtle in our path.

Day at the beach

Lily, Caden and I took advantage of the warm weather and headed to Children's Beach to try out the new carousel, Discovery Zone, and play in the sand.  We had a great day!  Later that night we went to a Silver Hawks game with Lily's school.

We rode the carousel 3 times - the first time Caden rode with Lily.  Then he kept saying, "I scared" so we just stood next to Lily and I hold him.

Back pack, back pack!

Lily decided she wanted to wear a backpack to school this day, just like her daddy does : )  So of course Caden had to wear one too (which he just got for his birthday).  So they packed up and headed off to school.  They look way to grown up!!!
